“Early this morning, 30-year-old Robert Thomas Geyer was arrested for felony vandalism.

At around 4:30 a.m., we received a call at the Heritage Inn regarding a man in one of the rooms screaming and breaking items. When our Officer arrived on scene, he could hear yelling and things being thrown around the room, and at one point, the window near the front door was broken from inside.

Our Officer summoned the assistance of TCSO Deputies, who promptly arrived to assist. Over the next half hour, efforts were made to get Geyer to exit the room peacefully. Ultimately, Geyer was tased and taken into custody without further incident.

Geyer caused a great deal of damage to the hotel room and the furniture inside. He was booked for felony vandalism and for being under the influence of a controlled substance. Geyer was not in Sonora on essential business.”
