Fresno’s 10th Homicide of 2020

Reports of a disturbance with an injured male reached Fresno’s Southwest patrol officers about 8:40PM on April 28, 2020.

When they arrived at the reported area, Glenn and Belmont, they found an injured 49-year old Myron Reed in the alley.

He had been violently assaulted and stabbed multiple times in his upper body; he struggled to breath.

Before EMS arrived to transport him to Community Regional Medical Center, officers provided Reed with medical aid.

Unfortunately, he passed from his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital.

Detectives do not yet know the motive for the attack but have since learned multiple subjects took part in the violence against Reed, before abandoning him in the alley.

The Fresno Police Department’s homicide detectives urge anyone with information to come forward.
