DUBLIN — Rocky Lee Music, a 32-year-old man from Vallejo, is a jailhouse legend. Music has been arrested 34 times since 2013, including twice on April 19th after he allegedly attempted to commit his third carjacking in one day.

Music was arrested by Oakland PD on the morning of April 19 on suspicion of carjacking. He was transported to Alameda County’s Santa Rita Jail, where he was released about 12 hours later.

Music was set free for his own safety due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic. He proceeded to walk to the Dublin BART station, where he allegedly committed another carjacking.

The victim’s car was driven to Contra Costa County. Music apparently tried to switch cars in San Ramon—by allegedly attempting a third carjacking. San Ramon PD pursued him until he was tracked down by a K-9 unit on Bollinger Canyon Road.

Music was transported back to Alameda County, where he was booked into Santa Rita Jail on April 20th at 3:01 a.m. He remains in custody, pending a plea hearing on May 1.

This time he was booked for seven charges —

• Assault
• Burglary
• Carjacking
• Grand theft
• Receiving stolen property
• Vehicle theft
• Special Allegation – Prior auto theft conviction

Music has a habit of getting arrested for vehicle thefts. He was previously arrested six other times for vehicle thefts. His numerous other arrests involve assaults, burglaries, illicit drugs, among other offenses.
