The Salinas Police Department arrested a man and a juvenile in a recent assault –
“Earlier today, Officers contacted a vehicle in the 1500 block of Del Monte Ave.
The vehicle had been involved in an assault earlier in the day.
Angel Diaz (18) and a 17 year old male were detained.
Officers located an unregistered AR-15 type rifle on the drivers seat of the vehicle.
Diaz was arrested for several firearm related charges and the 17 year old was lodged at Juvenile Hall for the earlier assault.
