Modesto PD calls on public to keep an eye out for wanted murder suspect

“MPD is asking for the public’s help in locating 32-year-old Sailiuta Matau of Modesto. Matau has a warrant for the murder of Donald Patterson, who was shot and killed on April 9, 2020 in the Food Maxx parking lot. Matau is the second suspect in this case. The first suspect, Kahlil Thorne, was arrested on Thursday afternoon by detectives.
Matau should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see Matau, please do not attempt to contact him, call 9-1-1. Contact MPD Detective Darien Wilson at 209-652-8937 or wilsond@modestopd.com if you have information regarding Matau’s whereabouts. To remain anonymous call Crime Stoppers at 209-521-4636.”
