Sonoma County deputies arrest two after stand-off

Sonoma County deputies have arrested two people after a contentious stand-off with not only the suspects themselves, but some of their family members.

It began when deputies responded to the 8500 block of Trenton Road in Forestville just before 5 PM on April 4. A caller had reported that a man — later identified as Jason Anglero-Wyrick (35) — and a woman had come to his house making threats and had just left prior to deputies’ arrival.

The victim provided a description of the suspects’ vehicle, which deputies soon located at Anglero-Wyrick’s home on the 8900 block of Graton Road.

There deputies were immediately confronted by members of Anglero-Wyrick’s family, who were reportedly uncooperative and claimed he was asleep inside. Additional deputies and CHP were called for back-up.

At that point, Anglero-Wyrick himself and a woman identified as Naustachia Green (35) came outside and were warned that K-9 Vader would be sent in if they refused to cooperate.

Though Green initially stood between Anglero-Wyrick and the deputies, preventing them from taking him safely into custody, he eventually shoved her aside and began advancing.

Green was subdued while a taser was used on Anglero-Wyrick. The deputy who used the taser quickly de-activated it when Vader deployed. After a struggle, deputies got Anglero-Wyrick into handcuffs. He was immediately treated by medical personnel at the scene.

Meanwhile, Green continued to fight with and yell at deputies in an effort to resist being arrested, ultimately to no avail.

Anglero-Wyrick, who has a history of violent felonies, was arrested on suspicion of felony parole violation and felony resisting. He has since posted bail.

Green was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanor battery on a peace officer and misdemeanor resisting, but was booked and then released on citation to appear due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
