2,100 Rounds of Ammunition Found in Huron Apartment

Coalinga Police Officers worked with MAGEC (Multi-Agency Gang Enforcement Consortium) to serve a search warrant at an apartment on the 3000 block of South Lassen Avenue in Huron on Friday, April 3,2020.

Before the search warrant was served a subject related to the case, 24-year old Jonathan Espinoza, convicted felon and current CDRC parolee, was observed leaving the apartment and taken into custody.

MAGEC officers served the warrant, entered, and cleared the apartment. 21-year old Roman Espinoza was detained at the apartment before Coalinga officers began the search. Officers found three handguns, two AR-15 riffles with scopes, and more than 2,100 round of ammunition.

The findings were photographed and booked into evidence. Jonathan and Roman were initially booked at the Coalinga City Hall on weapons charges and parole violations. At the time of this writing, both are in custody at the Fresno County Jail.

Jonathan’s bail is set at $190,000, Roman’s at $265,000.
