A Tulare County man has been arrested on suspicion of DUI and possession of ammunition.

Porterville Police responded to the 700 block of North Newcomb Street around 9:30 PM on March 21 to investigate reports of a reckless vehicle.

By the time they arrived, the vehicle was unoccupied.

A short time later, however, the driver returned and left the area but was quickly stopped near Newcomb and Morton.

The driver, 38-year-old Daniel Caballero, turned out to be under the influence of alcohol.

Caballero also had been driving on a suspended license due to a prior DUI, as well as driving without an ignition interlock device, and was in possession of ammunition.

He was arrested and booked at the Tulare South County Detention Facility on $20,000 bond.
