Oakhurst man arrested in child pornography investigation

An Oakhurst man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of child pornography.

Detectives and Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force officials served a search warrant at the Royal Oaks Drive home of 48-year-old Juan Carlos Verdejo Rojas on Thursday, March 12.

Investigators combed electronic devices at the residence and ultimately arrested Rojas on suspicion of possession and distribution of child porn, along with enhancements due to the number of files located.

He is being held without bail at the Madera County Department of Corrections.
