Illegal Indoor Cannabis Grow in East Linda

The Yuba County sheriff’s Department reports the discovery of an illegal marijuana grow –

“On Wednesday 3/4/2020 at approximately 11:30 a.m. The Yuba County Sheriff’s Department Marijuana Eradication Team (METYU) with the assistance of Yuba County Code Enforcement, and the Yuba Sutter Net-5 Drug and Gang Task Force, served a search warrant at an illegal cannabis grow in the 2000 block of Hammonton Smartsville Rd in East Linda. Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) was called to the scene to address hazardous electrical hookups at the property.

The grow was not compliant with state or local laws for Cannabis cultivation. 2,076 marijuana plants were located growing indoors and were eradicated. A utility trailer was located and seized that contained planting soil believed to be a part of the grow.

The investigation remains active and ongoing into the offenses of 11358( C) H&S and 11359 H&S. No suspects have been arrested at this time.”
