A young man unsuccessfully tried to outrun a deputy with the Placer County Sheriff’s Office

“On Monday night, Deputy Evans attempted to pull over 21-year old Dylan Douglass as he was riding his motorcycle on Highway 49 in North Auburn. Douglass sped off when he saw the deputy turn on his emergency lights, and eventually reached speeds up to 115 mph.

During the pursuit, Douglass crossed into oncoming traffic lanes, ran traffic lights and stop signs. Douglass lost control of his motorcycle and crashed on Bowman Road.

Deputies transported Douglass to a nearby hospital, where he was medically cleared. Douglass was arrested for felony evading and driving without a valid license. He was booked into the Auburn Jail, and his bail is set at $50,000.”
