SONORA – A vehicle collision occurred on the morning of February 27 at Dodge Street near Washington. A driver in the collision fled the scene, but not before a witness caught his description and the direction in which he fled.
Within minutes an arriving officer spotted 26-year-old Brandon J. Silva, who was physically non-complaint with the officer.

However, Silva was soon under arrest and positively identified as the fleeing driver.
The suspect was under the influence of alcohol, driving without a license and on active CDC parole.
Silva slid into a metal railing and hit into the corner of a building in the accident.
