A Butte County man faces a variety of narcotics charges following a traffic stop in Chico earlier this month.

An officer pulled over 48-year-old James Marshal near the intersection of Mangrove Avenue and Manzanita Court just before 10 PM on February 7th.

A second officer and his K-9 partner Odin were also called to the scene for assistance. Odin conducted a scent search of the outside of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of narcotics inside.

Officers searched the vehicle and turned up 82.6 grams of methamphetamine, 44 vicodin pills, a digital scale, and cash.

Marshal was booked at the Butte County Jail on charges of possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics for sale, and transportation of narcotics.
