Porn Photographer Extradited from Chicago for Seamy Activities with a 13-Year-Old Girl
TWENTYNINE PALMS – Extradition is the name of the game for a man who attempted to escape responsibility for exchanging nude photos with a 13-year-old girl in September 2017. Xander Banda (22) had originally befriended his victim at a local church event.
Three months later, Morongo Basin Sheriff’s Station Deputies “were dispatched on December 1st to a report of a 20-year-old male sending pornography to a 13-year-old female,” said Detective B. Henry. Banda had sent her messages asking for nude photos of her.
Eventually, “the victim and the suspect exchanged nude photographs via text messaging.”According to the Sherriff’s Department. An investigation ensued until December 12, 2019. Once Det. Henry completed investigation in Case #201800663, it was submitted to the San Bernardino District Attorney’s Office for review.
The D.A. issued an arrest warrant on July 30, 2019. Exactly six months later, Banda was apprehended and arrested in Chicago.
Extradition of the nude photographer took place on January 30, 2020 – with a trip back to San Bernardino County for Distribution of Pornography to a Minor.
He was booked into West Valley Detention Center, arraigned January 31st, and is being held in lieu of $25K Bail.
