Man Found Inside Popeyes at 4AM

It was about 4AM on January 19, 2020 when a triggered burglary alarm called Lemoore Police Officers to the Popeyes located on the 300 block of North Lemoore Avenue.

Through the unsecured backdoor, officers could hear suspicious sounds coming from inside the business.

Besides the business scheduled to be closed at this time, there were no vehicles outside indicating a delivery or cleaning service was taking place.

While setting up a perimeter, an officer at the front business observed an adult male inside the building meddling with a front counter register computer.

The suspect ignored commands from the officers at the back door to surrender. The officers made their move toward the inside of the building and were able to take the suspect into custody without any more resistance.

The arrestee is 55-year old Salvador Calderon of Salinas, CA. He was booked into the Kings County Jail for burglary with bail set at $15,000.
