Beefed up patrols bust Burson Burglars

BURSON – A increase in patrols has been implemented after a series of thefts and burglaries  in the Burson area cause concern.

After midnight on January 4, deputies on patrol spotted a car parked by a business.  The vehicle’s driver, 43-year-old Steven Arthur Williams, and his passenger, 38-year-old Jeanine Marie Priest, were detained.

Inside of their vehicle deputies spotted property that they believed had been stolen from the nearby business.

The owner of the business confirmed that the items came from his store. The duo were arrested and booked.

Williams was charged with burglary conspiracy probation violation and possession of burglary tools. He is being held with no bail due to a probation violation.

Priest was charged with burglary, conspiracy and possession of burglary tools, with a bail of $35,000.
