Los Banos Police have announced the arrests of two suspects on burglary and conspiracy charges.

Detectives on patrol on the 2000 block of Gus Villalta Drive on January 10 noticed a residence with the front door and garage door open and, knowing the house was supposed to be vacant and had been secure during an earlier patrol, stopped to investigate.

It turned out the door had been forced open and the door opener motor and cable unit for the garage door had been stolen.

Surveillance footage obtained from the area provided detectives with a lead on a suspect vehicle, which they soon located and stopped.

The two occupants — identified as 26-year-old Ricardo George Molina and 30-year-old Jose Munguia Jr., both of Los Banos — were connected to the burglary via evidence discovered in the vehicle.

The two have since been booked on suspicion of residential burglary and conspiracy to commit a crime.
