On the final day of 2019 at the Rio Consumnes Correctional Center, in the minimum security section, deputies were called to an inmate suffering from an unknown medical condition.
In spite of attempting life-saving measures on the inmate, he was pronounced deceased.
Apparently some sort of altercation occurred inside the showers, outside of camera view, that led to the death.
Then, on January 3, 29-year-old Nikolas Kallergis was arrested for the crime.
The victim’s name has not been released yet.
