Eight-Month Ongoing Teamup-Investigation Delivers Search Warrants and Cuffs 13 Gang Members

AZUSA – Due to the numerous gang-related murders over the past two years, Azusa PD Detectives and L. A. County Sheriffs Detectives teamed up to investigate crimes including murder, conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, drug sales, shootings, illegal possession of firearms, and vandalism.

In particular, members of the Sentinel Boys 13 criminal street gang have experienced seizure of multiple illegal firearms. An eight-month long investigation was launched this past April to delve into many of the ongoing murders.

Azusa PD and L.A. County Sheriffs were joined on 12/13/19 by SWAT Teams from Covina PD, West Covina PD, Arcadia PD, El Monte PD, Pasadena PD, Pomona PD. FSET Regional SWAT Team, Irwindale PD Officers, the Los Angeles DA, and the Dept. of Children and Family Services. Search warrants were served at nine different locations throughout the San Gabriel Valley.

The resulting arrests were carried out on as-yet anonymous gang members for the crimes of murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and a variety of other gang-related violent crimes committed in Azusa and within the greater L.A. County.
