Azusa Man Suspected in 18 Robberies in 3 California Counties

A man who allegedly committed 18 robberies in the counties of Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino has been arrested by Ontario police.

The suspect, identified as 41-year-old Donald Mooch Machuca, “is believed to have committed 18 robberies in which he threatened to shoot store employees if they did not meet his demands for money,” according to the release.

Police arrested Machuca at his home in Azusa, located in the 800 block of Citrus Avenue, on Thursday, December 12, 2019.

So far, Machuca has been positively identified as the suspect in only 11 of the 18 robberies. Investigators are continuing the search for evidence to connect him to the remaining 7.
