A Marysville man was arrested last weekend on suspicion of possessing stolen guns and shooting into an inhabited residence.

Just before 8 PM on Sunday, December 8, local police responded to the 800 block of C Street to investigate a report of shots fired into a residence and, indeed, found five large bullet holes in the front of the house. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Based on the initial investigation, including statements from the occupants of the residence, police narrowed in on 53-year-old Adam Mobley as their primary suspect.

Officers also obtained a description of the vehicle Mobley was driving and began searching the area. Just before 9 PM, they found Mobley’s car parked on Yuba and 7th.

Several firearms which had been reported stolen were found in the vehicle.

Mobley was contacted and arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, shooting into an inhabited dwelling, possession of stolen property, and other charges.
