19-year-old female murder suspect arrested

SAN JOSE – The San Jose Police Department has announced the arrest of a shooting suspect that ended the life of a 42-year-old female victim, who was known to the suspect.

According to Sergeant Enrique Garcia, “Follow-up investigation by homicide detectives led to the identification of suspect Jennifer Del Real Sanchez.”

The 19-year-old suspect was picked up by the San Jose Police Departments Covert Response Unit on December 4, 2019.  Sanchez is being charged with the murder of Kiia Marie Morris.  Morris was shot by Sanchez on September 23, 2019, at about 9:56 PM near the 5200 block of Monterey Road in San Jose.  No motive into the shooting has been identified.

Sanchez has been booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for felony murder and is currently being held without bail.
