The Grass Valley Police Department recently came upon a stolen generator, and hoping to return it to its owner, sent out this alert via their official Facebook page.
“This morning Police Officers from GVPD were dispatched to a call from a citizen claiming to have seen “suspicious circumstances.”
A group of what appeared to be recalcitrant individuals were lugging this brand new Briggs & Stratton 5500watt generator down Idaho Maryland Road toward property outside the City Limits.
Officers found it inside a camp and the occupants claimed they “found it in the woods”!
It was collected pending investigation as stolen property.
If this looks like one stolen from your property, it has serial numbers and can be matched to purchase paperwork. Come to Grass Valley PD to claim it!”
