Man robs, assaults 86-year-old woman at 3:30 A.M.

SAN FRANCISCO – During the night on October 14, around 3:30 a.m., a call came in to the San Francisco Police Department about an assualt that occurred in the 200 block of Minerva Street.

Arriving officers came upon the victim, an 86-year-old female with injuries to her face. The victim was taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

The investigation revealed that the suspect took the victim’s jewelry, watch and a pair of shoes.

With a description of the suspect, officers soon found someone who matched the description, and then identified Xavier Gonzalez as the robber.

36-year-old Francisco Xavier Gonzalez was booked on charges of “robbery, aggravated assault, elder abuse, threats, stolen property and inflicting great bodily injury on the person of another during the commission of a felony.”
