Men Arrested for Armed Robbery of 10 Pounds of Cannabis

MORAGA — Four men were arrested for allegedly stealing 10 pounds of cannabis during an armed robbery of a residence last weekend. Three of the suspects remain in custody at the West County Detention Facility.

This robbery was reported on November 3 at 9:26 p.m. At least four men wearing hooded sweatshirts entered a home on the 100 block of Donald Drive.

They were armed with at least one firearm and carrying baseball bats, but no injuries were reported. The suspects were fleeing by car as responding officers arrived.

Officers spotted the suspects’ car turning from Donald Drive onto Moraga Road, near Moraga Way. It was stopped and four men were detained without incident.

A vehicle search turned up a loaded handgun which was reported stolen. Officers also recovered several baseball bats as evidence.

Further investigation revealed one of the suspects had previously purchased a large quantity of cannabis from the victim.

Three of the suspects remain in custody at the West County Detention Facility –

Thomas Lloyd, 20 of Oakland
Emarieay Prescott, 21 of Oakland
Azrael Vargas, 19 of Berkeley.

Each man is charged with burglary, conspiracy to commit a crime, false imprisonment and robbery. None of these men is presently eligible for release on bond.

The fourth suspect arrested is no longer in custody, 20-year-old Domenico Delgado Caramagno of Oakland.
