Sutter County man booked for alleged brass knuckle assault

A Sutter County man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting his neighbor with brass knuckles, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were sent out to investigate a reported assault in Meridian just before 1:30 PM on Thursday, October 24, but the suspect — 19-year-old Peter Andre Gonzalez — had fled the scene by the time they arrived.

That night, Gonzalez returned and reportedly got into another altercation with the same victim.

This time, deputies caught up with him as he was leaving, pulled him over, and took him into csutody.

He has since been booked on suspicion of assault causing great bodily injury.
