Two arrested after Live Oak coffee shop theft

LIVE OAK — Two individuals have been arrested in connection to an alleged coffee shop theft late last week.

Police were contacted after a person later identified as Brent Wells (31) reportedly caused a disturbance at the coffee shop, then fled with stolen items.

Moments later, just down the street, police caught Wells and his girlfriend, identified as Emily Nelson (28), stealing items from a car. Police also say they brandished a knife at a citizen who tried to intervene.

Wells and Nelson were promptly taken into custody.
