Man Confesses to Quadruple Homicide in Roseville

ROSEVILLE — Police have announced that a man is in custody after he claimed to have committed multiple murders at his home in Roseville.

Just after 12 PM on Monday, October 14, Roseville PD received a call from police in Mt. Shasta saying they’d detained 53-year-old Shankar Hangud, who had reportedly confessed to killing multiple people at his Roseville apartment. One of the victims was reportedly in his vehicle outside the Mt. Shasta police station.

Roseville officers were dispatched to an apartment complex on the 1800 block of Junction Boulevard and confirmed that three individuals had been found dead at the scene.

None of the victims have been publicly identified as the investigation is ongoing, though it’s been reported that they were family members.
