Up In Flames – Woman Arrested for Igniting a Car on Fire

RANCHO CUCAMONGA – SBSD – Rancho Cucamonga Police Department Deputies responding to a October 2nd 1:09 AM “Fire” call on the the 11300 block of Verona Drive encountered a vehicle fully-engulfed in flames.

There was enough charred evidence remaining at the scene to assist Deputies with an ID for contact with the anonymous owner, sadly unaware of the fate of his torched car.

Investigation revealed a surveillance video featuring a suspect later identified as Anitra Dennis (44) of Moreno Valley. “She was observed on video pouring a liquid on the vehicle, setting it on fire with a match and speeding off,” said Rancho Cucamonga PD Deputy Jeffrey Dean.

Deputy Dean added, “The video is not being released.”

Anitra Dennis was located and arrested for PC 451 – Arson, booked at West Valley Detention Center, and presented with a $50,000 Bail.
