HOLLISTER — Police arrested a local man on suspicion of DUI and possession of a firearm after he allegedly tried to pick a fight with several people at a gas station.

Just before 11 PM on Wednesday, September 11, officers arrived at the Quik Stop on Felipe Road, where a drunken Robert Reames, 37, was reportedly causing a scene and kept trying to fight other patrons.

Officers detained Reames and found a gun and a loaded magazine on his person. A subsequent test also confirmed he was under the influence.

He was arrested at the scene and booked on suspicion of possessing a loaded firearm and driving under the influence.
