WHEATLAND – A vehicle went speeding through the sleepy town of Wheatland shortly after midnight on August 17th, catching the attention of a Wheatland police officer.

As the officer was pulling the vehicle over, its driver tried to switch seats with the passenger.

The driver was 24-year-old Christian Meeham, a New Jersey resident. Meeham was identified as being a wanted felon in New Jersey, and he was in possession of methamphetamine.

With his seat switching ruse proving unsuccessful, Meeham was arrested and booked into Yuba County Jail.
