Antioch man gets 15 years for DUI, vehicular manslaughter

GLENN COUNTY — The Glenn County District Attorney’s Office has announced the conviction and sentencing of 24-year-old Shawntre Tillis of Antioch for DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter.

The collision, which involved seven vehicles in total, killing two people and injuring five others, occurred on March 12, 2017, on I-5 just north of County Road 57.

Tillis had been driving intoxicated at over 117 MPH and his blood-alcohol level came back at .14/.13 percent.

He has been sentenced to the maximum permitted under California state law, which is 15 years.
