Marysville man arrested in connection to shooting in Olivehurst

OLIVEHURST — Yuba County Sheriff deputies have arrested an 18-year-old Marysville man in connection to a reported shooting in Olivehurst.

18-year-old Alexis Algarin of Marysville is accused of firing a gun into an occupied vehicle on Arboga Road near Melody Road at around 6 PM on Friday August 9th.

Algarin allegedly fired multiple rounds but luckily none of the occupants of the other vehicle were injured. Algarin was arrested four days later, on Tuesday August 13th.

At this time, officials suspect the shooting is gang-related.
