Attempted murder suspect arrested after pursuit in Arroyo Grande

ARROYO GRANDE — Police in Arroyo Grande have arrested a man on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident on Lancaster Drive.

Police arrived to the 600 block of Lancaster on Saturday, August 3rd, to investigate a reported stabbing. The suspect, identified as 36-year-old Matthew Leroy Ehens, was later spotted by the police department and pursued with assistance by the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office.

Ehens was ultimately taken into custody and booked on suspicion of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon, and elder abuse.
