CORNING – Here are reports of two recent arrests in Corning. On August 1st, officers with the Corning Police Department stopped 25-year-old Sergio Samaniego Rodriguez in a traffic stop.

Not only was he driving on a suspended license, but he also “had a misdemeanor and a felony warrant, and had drug paraphernalia in view of the officer.” In addition, he is on felony probation.

Rodriguez was arrested and booked for his warrants and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Then, on August 2nd, after midnight, another traffic stop was initiated after 24-year-old David Vera Martinez did a burnout in his vehicle.

After conducting a field sobriety test, officers arrested Martinez for DUI. In both incidents, the vehicles were towed away.
