Man Arrested For Domestic Violence After Head-Butting Girlfriend

WILLITS – A domestic violence dispute occurred in the 5700 block of Ridgewood Road on July 26th after 8:00 p.m.

Deputies with the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office arrived and came upon the 54-year-old female victim. She had been in a relationship with the suspect for five years. On this evening, however, a verbal argument escalated to the point that he head-butted her, causing her nose to bleed.

Then the suspect pushed her to the ground and bruised her arm.

Later, deputies found 48-year-old Anthony Robert McCoy and arrested him for felony domestic violence battery.

McCoy was on probation out of Mendocino County and as such also faces a violation of probation offense.

The suspect was “booked into the Mendocino County Jail where he was to be held in lieu of $25,000.00 bail.”
