Man Under The Influence Of Controlled Substance Arrested After Physical Altercation

On July 18th an altercation was called into the Butte County Sheriff’s Office around 9:30 a.m.
The incident occurred near the 3000 block of Cherokee Road and apparently involved a dispute over money that turned physical.
33-year-old Matthew Bolds allegedly rammed the victim’s vehicle, using his own vehicle. Both vehicles were therefore damaged.
Deputies discovered that Bolds was under the influence of a controlled substance.
He was arrested for possession of paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, being under the influence of a controlled substance, vandalism, and assault with a deadly weapon.
