Plumas County man stabbed by step-father

LAKE ALMANOR – A man called the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office at 1:00 in the morning on Tuesday July 2nd to report that his step-father had stabbed him several times.

Deputies responded to the scene, located at 2942 Highway 147,  where the victim stated that his mother had also been assaulted by his step-father  Isaac Tafoya Jr.

Both victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their wounds.  Tafoya was contacted and arrested at the residence.

The suspect “was booked into the Plumas County Correction Facility for attempted homicide and corporal injury to a spouse and terrorist threats.”

Tafoya is being held on a $1 million bail.
