About 9PM on Saturday June 29th, Shasta County deputies responded to a report of a man, Matthew Roy Miles, 37, causing a big verbal commotion with citizens in Cottonwood.

Miles left the scene before deputies arrived but he was known to frequent a nearby home belonging to Bradley Wayne Jordan, 44. Miles was busted at Jordan’s residence in October 2018 for possession of a controlled substance for sale.

Subsequently, Jordan was arrested, charged, and convicted for maintaining a home for the sale and use of drugs, and illegal ammunition possession. Jordan is currently on felony probation.

Deputies drove to Jordan’s home on the 3800 block of Country Estate Drive to look for Miles. As deputies knocked on Jordan’s door, other deputies witnessed Miles attempting to flee the property by jumping a fence.

He and Jordan were apprehended, along with two other females in the home: 41-year old Jessica Rose Wright and 28-year old Rachell Charlie Landis.

Drug paraphernalia was found in Jordan’s pockets and throughout his home. He was arrested for violating his probation, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a home for the use and sale of drugs.

Miles was arrested for public intoxication and violating his probation. Wright who is on parole for a residential burglary conviction, was arrested for two warrants she had issued in her name for theft charges. Landin was also arrested for a theft-related warrant. All four were booked at the Shasta County Jail for their violations.
