WEST SACRAMENTO – Recently numerous bicycles have been stolen from outside of local businesses in the West Sacramento area. West Sacramento Police Department investigators believe the same suspect is responsible for all of the thefts. At least one of the theft incidents was caught on surveillance video which provided officers with a working description of the suspect.
On June 7th officers spotted a man who matched the description of the suspect as he rode a bicycle down the roadway. They stopped the unnamed suspect and discovered that the bike he was riding had indeed been reported as stolen.
In addition, the suspect had drug paraphernalia and burglary tools in his possession. He was arrested and booked at the Yolo County Jail.
