Two Arrested in Lemoore’s First Homicide Since November 2017

Juan Gonzales, 26, and Ricardo Galvan, 24, have been arrested for their alleged involvement in a homicide which occurred on 06/16/2019.

About 10:20 PM, Lemoore Police Officers were called to the area of 900 Avocado Drive. A disturbance involving multiple individuals, and at least two cars, had reportedly escalated to gunfire.

A patrol unit was in the area when the call came in and heard the shots. They were able to stop a vehicle involved in the disturbance in which a 31-year old gunshot victim was found. The victim was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno but did not survive.

Kings County Major Crimes Task Force collaborated with Lemoore Police Investigations Unit to uncover the details of the homicide.

Two male suspects went to the block of 900 Avocado Drive to confront a group of individuals. During the altercation, one of the suspects fired off a gun, striking the victim with a bullet which led to his death.

First to be identified and arrested was Gonzales. He was apprehended, without resistance, on 06/19/2019 in the area of North Lemoore and Oleander Avenue.

Galvan was the second suspect named in the murder. He was arrested at a motel in Coalinga by Fresno County MAGEC and the Fresno County Sheriff’s Department SWAT Team on 06/22/2019 before being handed over to Lemoore PD.

Both suspects were booked into the King County Jail for charges of Murder in the First Degree, on top of additional charges.
