DELANO – An armed carjacking occurred on June 18 around 3 PM at Cecil Avenue and Wasco Pond Road.

Soon after, deputies saw the stolen car being driven near Highway 43. When he realized he’d been spotted, the suspect did not stop but instead began leading a chase in McFarland.

The chase ended when the suspect crashed the car around Sherwood Avenue and Famoso-Porterville Highway. From there, he fled on foot and successfully eluded capture that day.

Crumm was booked into jail on charges of carjacking, assault with a firearm, reckless evading, conspiracy, and gang participation.
