FAIRFAX — Marin County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a suspected drug dealer, with some assistance from Fairfax police.

This law enforcement action resulted from an extensive investigation organized by the Marin County Major Crimes Task Force.

A tip from local resident prompted authorities to act. First, search warrants were obtained to monitor the suspect’s social media activity. Next, investigators gathered evidence by arranging undercover drug transactions throughout Marin County.

Eventually, investigators determined the suspect was selling narcotics daily. These illicit drug transactions were arranged through various social media accounts.

On June 12th, detectives arranged for one more drug transaction to take place at the suspect’s residence in Fairfax. Deputies converged on a Piper Street home with another search warrant in hand.

Inside the home, authorities located and seized suspected psilocybin mushrooms, LSD packaged for sale and Ecstasy. In addition, they found digital scales with suspected drug residue and an unspecified quantity of cash.

The raid culminated in the arrest of the suspect identified as 20-year-old Maya M. Crivello. She was subsequently booked into Marin County Jail.

Crivello’s four charges include possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance for sale. Her other charges concern the sale and transportation of a controlled substance and cultivation of hallucinogenic mushroom spores.
