TRACY – On the morning of May 11th the Shell station on the 2300 block of W. Grant Line Road experienced an armed robbery.

Witnesses gave the Tracy Police Department a description of the vehicle that the robber drove away in. Soon the suspect was spotted by law enforcement as he drove west on I-580.

A vehicle pursuit ensued in which the getaway driver ended up crashing his vehicle near I-580 and Estudillo Avenue.

Then, 37-year-old Reginald Lee of Oakland tried his hand at fleeing on foot. A “yard-by-yard” search began.  Lee was eventually “apprehended and arrested for armed robbery and a loaded gun.”

Lee was also driving a stolen vehicle.
