Two Arrested For Attempted Murder After Car Chase And Shooting

On the afternoon of June 8th, 19-year old Gustavo Rubio and 35-year old Priscilla Charris, both of Visalia, are alleged to have chased a vehicle to Houston Ave and Mooney Boulevard in Visalia and opened fire on it.

The victims managed to escape but Rubio, the driver, continued the chase to Elm and Prospect Avenue, about 0.3 miles away, where once again Charris fired upon the victims. Fortunately, no one was physically injured as Charris missed both the victims and the victims’ car.

Visalia Police officers apprehended Rubio and Charris on the 1500 block of North Mooney Boulevard, close to where the shooting and chase had taken place.

Charris was booked into Bob Wiley’s Detention Facility. She faces charges for attempted murder, shooting at an inhabited dwelling, and possession of a firearm by a felon. Her bail is set at $500,000. Rubio was also booked into Bob Wiley’s Detention Facility on charges of attempted murder and shooting at an inhabited dwelling. His bail also stands at $500,000.
