PETALUMA – Employees at the AT&T store in Washington Square Shopping Center called the Petaluma Police Department on the afternoon of May 13th after they saw someone who they thought matched the description of someone who had burglarized the AT&T store at the Factory Outlets on May 7th.

Then, two suspects exited the Washington Square store, stealing iPads and iPhones from display cables. They cut the cables securing the items, and fled in a black Mercedes

A PPD officer in the area spotted the Mercedes and a chase ensued. The chase reached speeds over 100 m.p.h. on Interstate 101. Then the Mercedes crashed into a Mustang and stopped. 30-year-old Dareion Cole surrendered on scene. Two other suspects tried to flee, but foot officers, a K-9 and the Sonoma County’s helicopter combined efforts to capture the pair.

30-year-old Patrick Gray and 31-year-old Frank Gray were also arrested.  The stolen merchandise was recovered in the Mercedes.

All three suspects had cable clippers. The Grays were booked for burglary, resisting arrests and possession of burglary tools. Frank Gray was also booked for evading. Patrick Gray had a felony no-bail warrant out for robbery and assault.

Dareion Cole was released with a citation.
