Tulare County Captures another Top 10 Most Wanted

On Monday, April 15th, 2019, deputies of the Porterville Substation received a tip about the location of one of their most wanted fugitives, 34-year old Ernie Hernandez.

Hernandez, adamant on keeping his status as “Wanted” fled from deputies when he saw them arrive at his residence, a home on the 19600 block of Road 230 in Strathmore.

However, he could not out-run the persistence of Tulare County deputies who located him hiding in a home nearby. He was arrested and is currently in custody at the Bob Wiley Detention Facility.

Hernandez faces 16 felonies, varying from possession of meth for sale, possession of stolen property, and several special allegation charges for violations committed while on bail.

As of today, he is to remain in custody at least until his next court date on April 24, 2019, unless he posts bail, which is set at $225,000.
