SONORA – With four outstanding felony warrants for his arrest, 35-year-old Tony Loveday eluded the Sonora Police Department for the last three months.
Officers tried to arrest him on multiple occasions, but he “disappeared each time into thick brush and trees.”
On March 4th, after midnight, his string of successful escapes ended when officers nabbed him at a camp located behind the Lowe’s store.
Although a woman who initially came out of a tent at the camp said that no one else was inside, Loveday was discovered hiding behind a love seat. He was arrested on his warrants and booked into county jail.
