SANTA ROSA RANCHERIA – On March 2 at 5:00 pm Kings County Sheriff’s deputies arrived at a residence on the report of a stabbing.

Deputies discovered the male victim “sitting in the road in front of his home.”  The victim was suffering from multiple stab wounds about his head and neck, “bleeding profusely.”

The victim was taken to the Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for treatment.

Various witnesses helped deputies determine that Elijah Cargo, who was still inside the home, was possibly the suspect. Cargo already had an active warrant out on him for parole violation.

Cargo eventually came out and was arrested and charged with attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon and parole violation.
