Trailer park fighter doesn’t last long in the woods

PIONEER – On the evening of February 28th, deputies with the Amador County Sheriff’s Office were altered to a fight taking place in a trailer park.

Deputies arrived and discovered that one of the individuals involved in the fight had ran into the woods to hide.

32-year-old Brian Travis Smith had two outstanding warrants out for his arrest. Smith also threatened investigating deputies, saying that he had a gun and would shoot them.

Therefore, more officers from both the ACSO and the CHP, arrived and together they successfully extricated Smith from the woods without further incident.

Smith now faces felony charges on top of his outstanding warrants.
